Why Instagram and Art go hand-to-hand ?

The widespread use of smart devices in art institutions worldwide, from Met to MoMa and the Louvre , led many to resent what is happening. Some say they are tired of looking at pictures of young people turned their backs on the paintings of Van Gogh, to shoot themselves with the picture.Some critics go much further , as they want in museums and galleries smartphones to be prohibited . However, the use of mobile devices in such places have an effect on the art world, which is undoubtedly positive, reports Policimic.
According to a recent survey by the Pew Institute, 81% of  the museums and galleries believe that the Internet and social networks play a key role in supporting the arts. After decades of hard sending emails and phone marketing, major art institutions today are enjoying the opportunity to use social networks and smartphones, as thanks to them have the opportunity to build communities much easier than before.
