Google enters the artificial intelligence business

Google is finalizing the purchase of the British company DeepMind, the amount of the transaction is $ 400 million. DeepMind, was founded 3 years ago by Demis Hasabis, deals with the development of artificial intelligence. Its acquisition is obviously a priority for Google, evidence of that is the participation in the transaction of  Larry Page himself, co-founder and co-owner of the IT giant.


Last year, Google bought Boston Dynamics - a company that creates robots able to walk and run and Schaft, a Japanese developer of robots. Among the purchases of Google in the market for robots are still Redwood Robotics, Meka Robotics, Holomni Robotics and Bot & Dolly. Google also created a subsidiary company of robots, which stood at the head of the former project manager Android - Andy Rubin.
