In december 2013 Google released a document ( Android 4.4 Compatibility Definition ) which stats that OEM developers should use white icons and fonts, if they want to use transparent status bars. This change will ensure a more standartised Android experience between different devices, something from which both developers and users will benefit. As leek pictures from SamMobile show, the actualisation on Samsung Galaxy S4 to Android 4.4.2 sticks to this rule.
In the pictures bellow you can see that the icons in the status bar are white. We can also see a camera icon added to the locked screen menu. SamMobile mentions differences in the kayboard in landscape mode, performance enchancements and higher benchmark test results!
